Hallow'een, Hallow'een, HALLOW'EEN!

Oh joy, today is Hallow'een! One of the BEST days of the year, in my opinion. Costumes, candy, frightening spooks, lit pumpkins... I am a-shiver with anticipation!

Usually, I dress up for the event, but my focus this year was on dressing my house, not myself. I managed to make a GIANT spider out of several garbage bags, and it is currently lounging in front of my house on an equally giant web.

We have 4 pumpkins (two of which still need to be carved-eek!) and scads of candles, candle holders, decorations, and lights. All is ready for tonight! Hee, hee!

I may have to blog twice today. One now, and one later with a picture of the festivities.

My only regret is that I'm not closer to a See's so I could get myself a chocolate pumpkin or at least a Hallow'een gift box. That was a yummy treat for just ME on Hallow'een. Beats the heck out of Hershey's, any day!

BOO TO YOU! Happy Hallow'een!

My daughter is too young to do pumpkin carving, so I let her loose on the pumpkins with a washable magic marker. They are very modern art. She had so much fun. I'm not sure how I am going to get them out of the house. She hugs them every morning.

Please post your decorations!

Our neighbor, Ms. Lowe's, gave my son a "paint-a-pumpkin" kit. Well, that was fine until the pumpkin painting became a paint free-for-all, including: the table and his little sister. We're STILL finding paint on things. He wasn't really trying to get paint on other items but it seemed to get there anyway. I think your washable markers are a MUCH better idea. The paint doesn't come off very easily!
