We're Moving On Up... Who the Hell Knows Where.

To sum: The private company that owns the military housing we live in is moving us to another house on base so they can renovate our home.

Here's what sucks about this deal:

We do NOT get to move back into our renovated home.

We do NOT have any idea what house we will be moving into -- we'll just be given a list of available houses and told "CHOOSE ONE!".

We have to organize a move with TMO (The Moving Office) which is like trying to set up an appointment with the DMV. Horror of horrors.

Cable and phone will have to be shut down at the old place and rescheduled to start up at the new place. Always a fun event.

ADDRESS CHANGES, ADDRESS CHANGES, ADDRESS CHANGES.

The worst, and I mean THE WORST, is that we're scheduled to move from this base a year from now anyway, so we'll have to do this all over again in 10 months or so. Damnation!

What is stressing me out the most is that this 'mystery list' of houses that we're supposed to be getting changes from day to day and I think we're going to be out of state when our name comes up to choose. AAAUGH! STRESS!

I know we move every 3 years or so, but for some reason, this local move is bothering me alot. The management company who runs this project is unprofessional and capricious. It isn't like a regular, orderly military move.

As my beloved Illustrated Librarian says: "KITTY BREATH!"

Now honey, what would you tell ME if I were in your situation?

BREATHE...and not like a kitty!!

Even though the movers are LAME--you are NOT, and you'll whip them into shape!

I don't want you worrying about this while you're out here, okay? Everything will pan out and be just fine. Don't worry!!

I'm really sorry. I hope you can browbeat them, but wish you didn't have to. Ugh
